Route:
Pune - Baroda- Dahod- Udaipur - Kumb\halgarh - Bundi - Pushkar - Chittorgarh - Ranakpur - Baroda - Mumbai
It was solo cum Buddy ride for both of us.
The Ride was specially meant for Pushkar fair, which I used to attend every year, but this timed planned to go by my Bike.
DAY 1:
The first stretch of journey was from Pune to Udaipur via Godhara (km)
The other option was via Ahmedabad, but have to add more 80 km and hence opt for former route.
The entire route I covered in a day.
Enroute Ride towards Pushkar from Pune, met riding buddy Digvijay singh from Bharuch, who invited me over cup of tea and special momento from Rajput Riders was gifted.
After having lunch break at Baroda , headed towards Udaipur via Godhara -Modasa route.
The road from Baroda via Godhara upto Udaipur was too good with less traffic as compare to Ahmedabad-Udaipur route.
Udaipur- The Venice of East, which was my first halt after non stop riding from Pune. This also tested my stamina.
Around 9.30 pm reached Udaipur.
I preferred to visit the Lake to the time I reached at Udaipur to have the glimpses during night time.
.
DAY 2:
As I had already visited Udaipur couple of times and preferred no to spend much time.
Rested for the day at one of my relatives house.
Next early morning geared myself to move towards Chittorgarh, the very first destination of my Trip
After having a sight seeing of the beautiful places and lake in next day, proceed further to Chittorgarh.
Next early morning geared myself to move towards Chittorgarh, the very first destination of my Trip
The Massive architectural work of Chittorgarh Fort was breath taking and is also the largest fort in India. The view almost looks like some European castle.
The city view from the Top of Fort was majestic.
Planned for riding through NH towards Ajmer, but instead diverted the route through Kota/Bundi
Bundi- The least explored city of Rajasthan, but believe me this should be must visit places if any of you planning to explore rajasthan in future.
It's has all the flavour of benaras, hampi, jaisalmer...
Old architectural Havelis, Forts, slighty the hippy atmosphere. ;).
Cant missed the famous the Chai wala- Krishna Chaiwala. He prepared the best ever chai as far a i Know. He makes the tea to order, means would grinds all the spices and boils the original way for every order.
Not only tea, but do have a glaces at the art work done o the walls of the Shop and these are painted by visitors
The other must visit place was Garadia Mahadev, which was missed.
DAY 3:
Finally next day after spending at Bundi, proceed to Ajmer/Pushkar.
Ajmer - Here my riding buddy aka room mate , who rode from Ahmedabad accompanied me for our further journey to Pushkar.
Booked homestay lodge after negotiating hard with the owner for 500/night for 2pax..
DAY 4 /5 / 6 :
Explored the Pushkar the entire 3 days ..the mela, people, market...and off course some photography for which the ride was meant😊.
Lots of enthusiast photographers, nearby locals enjoying the shopping, kids busy with the fair rides.... The entire town in full.moods glittering with lighting and decoration .
Pushkar lake was litted with diyaa all over the steps over the lake.
over all mixed experience into this holy city.
Had couple of hours conversation with Naga Baba on their life...
The view of the entire Pushkar fair from the nearby temple over the small mountain in the evening was incredible.
ALmost spending the 4 days, we planned for our return journey.
The return route was : Ajmer - Kumbhalgarh, Ranakpur (village ghat road) Udaipur - Shamalji. Exploring each of these places.
We halted for the Night at Kumbalgarh.
DAY 7:
As we reached during the evening time, directly moved to the Kumbhalgarh fort, for the night show at Fort. The light and sound show was just amazing.
The view from Fort of Kumbhalgarh tow, mesmerising Sunset and huge range of mountains was just speechless.
The night at Kumbhalgarh were chilling cold. To cope up the cold had some tonic ;) with delicious dhabha food.
Moving towards Udaipur via Ranakpur was just amazing with betuful village size ghat roads and couple of Waterfall on the Way.
Had a delicious jain food at Ranakpur jain temple. Witnessed beautiful scenic ghat and waterfalls in the way between. Kumbhalgarh and Ranakpur.
At gujarat border we both dispersed wherein Harshal headed to his home Ahmedabad and myself continued for Pune.
DAY 8:
Stayed for the night at Gurdwara near Bharuch and next morning after prasaad grahan at gurudwara ( puri sabji and chai) continued my ride for Pune.
In short Rajasthan is truly incredible state of India, with colorful people and places .
