Night Bike Ride to 'Slope of Hell' - -Meteor Shower Special
As the name suggest 'Slope of Hell'..indeed it was a hell.
It was the day when Geminind meteor shower and we were confuse to decide between couples of places to witness the meteor showers. Initially it was Panshet, within an hour changed to Lavasa, finally went for Kahne dam, and enroute diverted to 'Slope of Hell'.
One of the dangerous route till date! Route was scary with 45-60 degree 'Slope and risky through the jungle, elevated slopes and dew with dry grass on the way, skipping pot holes and so many stones fallen on the way, we some how reached Midway and decided to go up. As the elevation increased challenges also increased! There were many instances when we applied brakes bikes were slipping backwards on the slippery slopes!
We parked our bikes and decided to trek to reach up! Then we finally saw this amazing view! Some moments couldn't be captured! We enjoyed every moment happening up in the sky! Meteors shower, Moon rise, chilled winters, trans music, boomshiva it was all fun! It was a thrilling experience! Amazing people around, cheers to them!
Especially, that view of the rising moon, shades of the rising sun behind those hills, the shooting stars, howling like an happy kid whenever we see a shooting star, the smell of the dew on grass, the Slope of Death, the deep rumble of our engines, the brotherhood which we showed, etc. No amount of money can buy even ONE of the above mentioned feelings specially
That vada pav we had under that beautiful meteor shower is a LOT better than having an exotic cocktail in some super-expensive pub!
In the end we realized coming down the slope of hell was much more risky than going up! But finally we managed to reach the base.
The Early view of Dawn was one of the best Sunrise witnessed. Te Colored hues due to early morning Sunrays was breathtaking.
This ride and place has got a special place in memories...it was the first time in my life when it was literally...'fat k aa gai thi'..
